The Curve of Her Arm is a collaboration of two poets, Robin Mullet and Holli Rainwater. Their poetry, Robin's free verse and Holli's haiku, is inspired by the art and practice of qigong - gentle body movement, breathing practice and mindfulness. The poets performed these movements with the poetry at readings, creating a unique experience for the audiences.
Published by NightBallet Press in January 2019, this chapbook is no longer in print. However, Robin has a few copies available for $12.00 each. If you are interested in purchasing this unique collection of poems, please go to the contact page on this website and send her an email with your request. Thank you!

From The Curve of Her Arm:
Opening the Door
Stand naturally with feet shoulder width apart and relax the body. As you inhale let your arms float up in front of you to shoulder height; as you exhale, allow your arms to sink back down as you also bend your knees slightly.
We begin the sequence
with an arm movement
deceptively simple,
a slight bend of the knee,
opening the space
to go forward.
If only it were that
simple to begin,
that pure an act,
to start this life over,
to do the work we
were meant to do,
to live the life we
were meant to live.
The truth, waiting for us.
We begin.
